New Service for Renters

To open an account in your name, you must visit our office in person and bring the following:

  1. Photo Identification
A valid government-issued photo ID (e.g., driver’s license, passport, state ID).
  2. A $50 Deposit
    • Refundable if all payments are made on time for one full year.
    • If not, the deposit will be applied to your final bill when you move out. Any final credits will be reimbursed given that a forwarding address was provided.
    • The deposit can be paid by check, cash, or card.

Rates cannot be prorated.
If you sign up for service after you’ve already moved in, or you call to cancel service after you’ve moved out, the transaction can only be processed on the day you contact us or for a future date—no backdating is allowed.

Previous balances must be paid.
If you’ve had an account with us before, any outstanding balance must be paid in full—in addition to the $50 deposit—before new service can be established in your name.

You cannot open an account in your name if:

  • Your lease is not a minimum of 6 moths (e.g., month-to-month or short-term).
  • The property does not allow consistent access to the water meter or curbstop.
    • If the meter can only be accessed through the interior of the home, there is a high likelihood that service cannot be transferred into a tenant’s name.

In these cases, the water account must remain under the property owner’s or landlord’s name.
